Missile launchers are heavy anti-vehicle weapons.

They can't do much harm to a building itself, but Cyrus can use a high-powered shot against a building to effectively kill any unit garrisoned within it. While they're good against almost all infantry, they barely scratch monsters or vehicles. Their rate of fire is generally quite poor, but their range is superb and they generally do quite high damage with each shot. Sniper rifles are only usable by Cyrus.Terminator squads can use a heavy flamer which performs the same as a regular flamer, but at increased range and with much better damage. Shotguns in the hands of Sergeant Cyrus gain the ability to fire a high-explosive shell that does very high damage to all target types, including vehicles. Flamers, however, have the added bonus of being very effective against troops in cover or in buildings, while shotguns are not. Both flamers and shotguns are typically only effective against light to medium infantry, dealing little damage to heavily-armored troops and almost none to bigger targets. Flamers generally deal better area damage than shotguns do, but shotguns have better range as well as a minimum 25% chance of knocking the target back. Both are short-ranged weapons that generally deal good damage over an area rather than against a single target, so while they excel at blasting things like Ripper Swarms, using them against powerful single targets is a waste. Flamers and shotguns have no real weapon class, but are similar in their use.Plasma weapons are versatile, able to effectively damage heavy infantry, large monsters, vehicles, and buildings while still able to fight light infantry as well.

While plasma weapons can certainly kill light infantry units, their slower rate of fire means that bolt weapons are more effective at dispensing large hordes of enemy troops. These weapons often have a lower damage-per-second (DPS) rating than bolt weapons, but are far more effective at penetrating enemy armor.
